What proof has the City given that this developer will meet the Tier 1 and 2 requirements for being granted a PUD? -- Especially considering the ramifications to taxpayers?
And what protection will be given to the 72 heritage oaks on the property against this PUD?
Meanwhile, the spin machine has begun. Those neighborhoods? Just a bunch of NIMBYs who don't want density, and this is all about density.
No, its not.
Density is needed. These neighborhoods know that--we all know that.
This is about questions and its about ACCOUNTABILITY and COMMITMENT. Pure and simple.

Questions like whether the City Council is going to force this developer to spend the money to meet the Tier 1 and Tier 2 requirements, and abide by the Heritage Tree Ordinance. Its about asking why City Council keeps waiving the rules for big companies, even if it means a bigger tax burden for everybody else. Its about loopholes being called what they are, scams to get around the rules for elite.
